Not all 4-star hotels are the same

There are many different 4-star hotels. All these 4-star hotels either meet the conditions of “Hotellerie Suisse” or “Gastro Suisse”, otherwise the label “****” is not issued. Nevertheless, there are considerable differences within this category. Due to the infrastructure of the building or the given location (e.g. mountain view), the possibilities are partially limited. But a hotelier also has some leeway as to which service, in what way and at what price he offers his guests. Our operating philosophy is:

Reasonable 4-star quality at an affordable price in a pleasant, personal atmosphere!

We chose a reasonable offer at a reasonable price. This means that we forego certain offers that would drive up the price and that most of our (regular) guests do not take advantage of. Especially in economically difficult times (e.g. banking crisis and weak euro) it makes no sense to pay for unwanted services. On the other hand, we are also aware that there will be guests who do not want to do without a certain luxury and who will therefore not spend their holidays with us. The strength of a hotel, however, lies in its peculiarity and its differentiation from the competition.

What “reasonable 4-star quality” do we offer?

• Large and stylish bathroom with bathtub
• Comfortable armchairs in every room
• 2 comfortable chairs on each balcony
• Alpenchic – the restaurant is the cozy restaurant with a fireplace
• Market-fresh cuisine with predominantly regional products
• Bar lounge
• A rich breakfast buffet
• Only 100m away from the Dorfbahn (feeder gondola to the Sillerenbühlbahn)
• Quiet, but still centrally located
• Sauna, steam bath, whirlpool and relaxation room
• Fitness room
• Environmentally conscious management (since autumn 2011 we are almost CO2 neutral)

So what do we not offer?

• Fruits in the room
• Bathrobe in the room (but available on request at the reception)
• Good night service
• Minibar in the room
• Wellness oasis and indoor pool

What “reasonable price” do we charge?

In summer, our weekly flat rates range between CHF 755.- and CHF 1150.- including breakfast buffet, dinner and use of all mountain railways.
In winter, the packages for 7 nights range from CHF 750.- to CHF 1,330.- including breakfast buffet and dinner.

What «pleasant Personal atmosphere» do we offer?

We are a privately run holiday hotel. We hope that our guests will feel comfortable, relax with us and really enjoy their vacation in Adelboden. Personal contact and individual care for our guests are very important to us.
